Equine Art and Photography

Some years ago, when living in Kenya, Anne was fortunate to own retired polo pony and a Thoroughbred (off the Nairobi Racecourse) that she then retrained with help from some expert friends!  Her love of horses remains and she considers it an “absolute honour” to be asked to photograph or draw/ paint horses and ponies.  Always working from her own reference photos and sketches Anne endeavours to bring out the individuality of each equine.  Some years ago, when living in Kenya, Anne was fortunate to own retired polo pony and a Thoroughbred off the Nairobi Racecourse that she then retrained with help from some expert friends!  Her love of horses remains and she considers it an absolute honour to be asked to photograph or draw/ paint horses and ponies.  Always working from her own reference photos and sketches Anne endeavours to bring out the individuality of each equine.

Below is a video “How to draw and paint horses’ that features on Horse and Country TV (read more below):

Anne writes:
“Working as an equine artist is a passion…..and so I am delighted that my video on ‘How to Draw and Paint Horses’ is on Horse & Country TV in the UK and Ireland (on Sky Channel 253) and in the Netherlands and Sweden (via cable). It is also on the Horse & Country website and on their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZDLL3OVZ-4

Thank you to everyone involved in this project: Matty Simpson; Director, Film-Maker and Editor. Christine Worthington, owner of Lizzie. Sadly Christine lost Lizzie since this film was made, which has saddened us all.  The Benevolent Fund mentioned in this video is; Lancashire Constabulary Retired Police Horse Benevolent Fund. Prints of this oil painting are available on my website (www.annecorless.com) and part of the proceeds goes to the charity.”
